After all the Hiccups at the native place and a long journey from Punjab to Karnataka, I finally reached LnT Infotech at Mysore!
How can I forget the Date 17th March 2010.
The building presents a mesmerizing view and it really feels to be proud to be part of such a good company..
We were a batch of 100 people, people from different backgrounds, different places speaking different languages, presenting different looks. But there was one thing common among us, each of us eager to get into LnT and have a mark of his own.
Right after verification of Documents, we received a very pleasant surprise.. a cute and tough pravesh after 2 days...
With that started the hustle among us, everybody sensed it as a chance to show his/her talent(which never is the case), and some people like me only thought of surviving the test and started to plan ahead for the test... and truly came out with flying colors by clearing it very comfortably...
Batsmen like me raise their bat at 60 runs(passing marks)...
We were divided into two batches, and most of my friends went in other group, but that presented me with an opportunity to mingle with new people.
It was our first session after Pravesh for HTML/JavaScript, and I was selected as Batch coordinator. I was amused and happy, didnt know How to react!
After that started the sequence of sessions of various technologies followed by horrifying tests.
Most of the people cleared them but some unfortunates could not.. but they did it later!

After all these hardships came another axe, we were further segregated, now came the time to allot the specialization. Our Batch was provided with the best of the technologies in LnT, no Java, no .net, no C++. They were BI/DW, IBM-Mainframe and SAP-BI. And few lucky ones, including me, got best of the best SAP-BI. But with that we had to move to Bangalore, IT capital of India.
We packed our luggage after our one month of our stay at Mysore and were ready to board the LnT Infotech bus and move to Bangalore. While on the bus,I could feel the flash back of my life at LnT Infotech so far. How an alone guy from Punjab got so many friends from different states whom he never knew before. I was receiving text messages on my mobile, people wishing me good luck for my future and I replied in same tone, there was one thing in everybody's mind.. Will we meet again? And probable answer was No!!
The atmosphere in the bus wasn't pleasant either. Most of us had been separated from best of their friends and were not in a mood to smile at all and some emotional fellows even shed few tears.
But that is how life goes on and this is how it is in LnT Infotech as well. After a five hour journey from LnT Infotech campus and cutting through high traffic of Bangalore, we finally reached our accommodation, a beautiful 3 star Hotel.
Next day, we were supposed to start our specialization so we got to Bangalore Unit of LnT Infotech right on time and started waiting for our trainer. It was around 10:00 AM and the wait was turning out to be long and it turned out to be even longer till someone from HR department came and told us that our trainer could not arrive.
After the first day of boredom and few sleeping sessions in the training room, the train for learning started moving with full throttle. There was no respite for us after that, we were hammered with sessions after session and very heavy ones. After one week of our training we saw another side of Life at LnT Infotech, we would be shifted to Mysore after we finish training at Banagalore for another training session in ABAP. Alas!! Another round of luggage packing!!
So today, May 16th 2010, we are back to Mysore again. We will be ready for tomorrow's session!! ABAP!!

So, D-day is nearing!
It's 13th of March and I will leave tomorrow for my Karam-Bhoomi. All set tickets reserved, mobile phone loaded with favorite music, i-pod fully charged, snacks ready and paper soap stuffed in wallet after all this will be longest journey of my life so far. I have never traveled for continuous 34 hours!
But only thing that has been worrying me is, I am still to pack my bags! Let see if I do not mi anything!
So my life at LnT Infotech is about to begin, 4 days from now I will be standing at the gate to my fate....
And I will never let my fate to deceive me now! In fact I am never going to give her a chance to betray me....
I wont depend upon it now!!

My journey with LnT Infotech started in year 2007 while I was still pursuing my Engineering. I got into LnT Infotech through Campus placement drive. The day was 27th April 2007, A day unforgettable for some of the students from G.Z.S.C.E.T, Bathinda. We were offered offer letters at around 9:20 PM.
With that started a wait, that turned out to be very long, wait for my engineering to complete, wait to get into LnT Infotech, my future battle ground, as soon as possible.
But fate has stored something else for my future, I completed my Engineering in year 2008, the year in which our dear uncle Sam(USA) gifted me gift of my life time, THE RECESSION. Most of the IT companies held back their offers in lieu of it.
The wait got even longer as the dark days kept on extending. The jobs opportunities in market getting even bleaker. The morale sinking even lower. But emails from LnT now and then use to light some hope, gave some sense of security.
But I never knew how long I had to wait to get in LnT Infotech, so I joined a small IT company that had started just 6 months before I joined it. I compromised a great deal of my skills to get that job, not only skills but I compromised a lot on salary. Every month I withdrew Rs. 6000, just enough for my pocket to support my basic living. But with those compromises, I gained a great ascend in my learning curve.
But to every night's end there is a bright day, Feb 28, 2010, Finally LnT Infotech finally called me to join it. Even the cloud 9 seemed to be smaller number. I will be joining LnT Infotech on 18th March 2010 with my confidence and spirits soaring high. I have geared myself to extract maximum out of my training program at LnT Infotech and to deliver my best at my job. I promise myself a very good Life at LnT Infotech.
